ELINA RANTASUO. Shown above are some of the amazing works my friend Elina is exhibiting in Galleria G in Helsinki at the moment, as a part of NUORET TAIDEGRAAFIKOT, together with the awesome Mari Hallapuro (more about her drypoints in a future post) and Veera Nykänen, whom I, despite the Finnish art world being so small, haven’t met yet. The concept was created by art teacher Elina Rantasuo, art educators Ilpo Rybatzki and Kati Karvonen, visual artist Nestori Syrjälä and futures researcher Otto Tähkäpää. Elina Rantasuo captures in her lithography attraction of human mind to the boarder of cognizable and unknown. Some kind of fear from an unknown reality that can be captured by drawing a picture or giving a name to it.
